This series is very nicely illustrated, creating an interest level that spans across a second through ninth grade readership. Featuring full-color as well as historical photographs, each informative and thoroughly ‘kid friendly’ volume is provided with a table of contents, sidebars, a time line of key events, a glossary, an index, and suggested sources for further research which includes thematically appropriate website address. This is an outstanding and enthusiastically recommended series and is advised that schools and public libraries secure the entire series for their young students and patrons.
