Editorial Review
A noteworthy review of Safety First from School Library Journal on April 1, 2025

Learning how to stay safe in various situations, from using technology to going to school, are important topics covered in this series. Good examples of solo and adult-assisted safe behaviors are displayed in the illustrations. Each volume includes explanations and definitions of the precautions and care that children should consider in common situations like crossing the street. A little bee buzzes through the pages to give bonus tips and closes each title with a list of applicable safety rules. A balance is struck between looking at physical risks, environmental dangers, and virtual concerns. VERDICT These would be very useful in school libraries as they interconnect ideas related to the lives of school age children.
