Video: MOMENTUM: Narrative Nonfiction

In keeping with our mission to help kids learn to read and inspire them to read to learn, The Child’s World proudly introduces MOMENTUM, our most recent imprint.

MOMENTUM is a collection of stories about real people, dramatic events, animals, and other wonders. These compelling narrative nonfiction titles are action-packed, exciting, entertaining, and educational. The engaging narratives pull readers in and hold their attention. The narrative writing style has proven to support the development of fluency and essential comprehension skills – skills emphasized by the Common Core State Standards. These topics tap into kids’ natural interests, and the narrative approach inspires them to discover and explore more about the subjects they love. Each MOMENTUM title has full color photographs, primary sources and many also include additional features such as infographics and sidebars to extend learning.
