Fighting for Freedom
Since our battle for independence from Great Britain, the US military has been involved in a civil war, regional wars, and world wars. This series helps young learners understand the biggest conflicts that have impacted our nation. Each book tells the story of a specific war, including the parties involved, stakes, key battles and strategies, and effects on civilians. Additional features include informative sidebars and captions, a timeline of events, fast facts, critical-thinking questions, a phonetic glossary, an index, and sources for further research.
